Merchants NY Café offers contemporary American fare in a comfortable setting complete with outdoor and indoor seating that helps create the perfect dining atmosphere. After studying at the School for American Chefs and the Windows on the World Wine School, Wade launched his career as the Executive Chef at the Club Corporation of America, a world leader in delivering golf, private club and resort experiences. Chef Wade Burch continued to hone his skills and techniques at many four star-diamond hotels and resorts throughout Texas. Upon coming to New York he worked with top restaurant groups and hotels including The Plaza Hotel, a 5 Star-Diamond facility and The Grand Summit Hotel, a boutique 4 Star facility. As a member of The James Beard Foundation, the U.S. Pastry Alliance, the Chef’s Collaborative and the American Culinary Federation, Chef Wade Burch continues his already accomplished career with SouthWest NY and Merchants Hospitality.

I have not been impressed with the quality of service. The delivery is slow, my food has been cold on multiple occasions, and my orders have been missing items (no salad dressed, forgot to bring the drink, etc). The food is average quality but the service brings this place well below average as a whole. I am not going to order from them in the future.

Always solid when you eat there; delivery takes a while and sandwiches/burger buns are soggy b/c of the poor packaging. The flavors are def. there...but for the money...I would say make the trip, don't order soggy buns.

I had the chicken breast which came with a tasty sauce and a little too-liquidy mashed potatoes. Otherwise, the food was excellent and on-time. Would definitely order again.

Food is consistently good. Nice variety of continental cuisine with an Asian flare. Spring rolls and Thai salad are the best!

I ordered the Cobb salad and was very impressed with the quality of my meal. Very filling and fresh and the fried chicken pieces were warm and crunchy! I am very pleased and will order again! The bread it came with was also very delicious. I would highly recommend this resturaunt.

I've been to Merchants a few times, and only ordered from them once. Always a great meal...it did take a little longer for them to get the food to me when I ordered as I was just around the corner, but it was still great!

If the delivery's gonna take more than an hour, it should be listed as taking more than an hour; not 20-35 minutes.

Typically eat out for this type of food, but decided to take a chance and order in...what an excellent decision!! The food arrived hot and the fried food was still crispy...how I'm not sure, but very happy just the same!! We have no complaints and will definitely order here frequently!!

If I could give this 0 stars I would. I ordered food 90 MINUTES AGO, it still has not come. I should have listened to the other reviewers. When I called to ask where my order was, I was put on hold then when the hostess came back and I told her how long I had been waiting she offered no apology, just put me on hold again and then came back and said it was on its way <BLANK STARE>. Very poor customer service.

If i could give this place zero stars I would. Ordered soup and it came freezing cold. I also ordered a salad and the lettuce was completely brown and wilted. Terrible!

I tried this place a few years ago and it was just OK (nothing horrible but just nothing special). It's close to home so I decided to give them another shot. I'm so glad I did. The food is wonderful and I can honestly say that as a burger connoisseur, theirs is possibly the BEST! Its simple food but everything is cooked very well and has great flavor and high quality. Very highly recommended

I have ordered from here several times and I am never disapointed. Food is always hot, fresh and delivery is really quick! The hamburger is fantastic and the crispy buffalo chicken wings are good too. Highly recommended!

Me and a friend ordered a catfish sandwich with fries and a cobb salad. It was delicious and everything was the perfect temperature, which was awesome. I wish they had assumed to put ketchup if I got fries but that's ok, it makes me eat more of them anyway, perhaps too many. Anywho, it was delicious and not so expensive actually, and I would order from there again.

Since I live in the same building for over a year now, I've ordered from Merchant's probably 70 times or so... I know it's sad, BUT the food is consistently amazing. I'm a pretty picky eater too, so I believe they are doing a wonderful job. The food is a little pricey, but when you don't want to sacrifice quality, it's the way to go. Even the coffee is good. Wonderful place. Not too common these days.

The Cobb salad is very good, large and filling. The burgers are also very good as well as the chicken fingers. I order from here every few weeks and have never been disappointed with the quality of the food.
